Emily - Multimedia Broadcast Journalist

I'm Emily, a London-based broadcast journalist with a particular interest in arts, culture, lifestyle and human-interest reporting.

About to complete my BJTC-accredited training, I have experience producing stories across television, radio and digital platforms, with skills in interviewing, pitching, media law and video/audio editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition.

I’m currently looking for opportunities in broadcast and digital journalism and am available to start now.

I can do this...

...as well as this, plus so much more.

TV Experience

I produce original, London-focused television news packages that explore community-driven stories. My reporting highlights underrepresented voices and examines how national issues play out at a grassroots level across the capital.

I film, script, and edit my own packages, using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro to produce clear, engaging broadcast content.

I also led my broadcast group at university one week as TV editor, wearing pink striped pyjamas to boost morale for our Christmas special (photos avaliable upon request).

Radio Experience

I used my own exclusive data analysis to compare and contrast the sexual offence rate on each tube line, speaking to survivors and campaigners about what more can be done.
After Timothée Chalamet's comments that the art form was 'dying', I spoke to performers and producers about the state of London's opera scene to see if his comments have any merit (spoiler alert: they don't).

I produce original radio packages covering social and cultural issues including sexual offence rates on the Underground to London's thriving opera scene. My work combines clear scripting, strong audio storytelling, and on-the-ground reporting to make complex topics engaging and accessible for listeners, all edited on Adobe Audition.

My audio experience includes writing and producing short news bulletins, covering breaking stories, pre-packaged reports, and delivering live in-studio two-ways. I’m confident scripting for clarity and pace, as well as adapting tone for different formats and audiences as displayed in my radio showreel below.

I love chatting so much, I want to make a career out of it. And to relieve the burden off my friends and family.

Newsroom Experience

Radio Times - April 2026

I spent seven days at Immediate, gaining hands-on experience across digital and print publishing. Here I supported content development through rewriting press materials, proofreading, and contributing to social and web content, while collaborating with editorial teams.

A Mr Darcy scroll break, for good measure.

Testimonials

Please someone hire her. She keeps forcing me to come to cabbage markets and  churches with her and I don't know how much more I can handle.

We really enjoyed having Emily with us. She was proactive, versatile and an impressively fast learner with plenty of initiative.

Whilst some her ideas seriously confuse me and make me doubt her sanity, she always seems to pull them off.
